Charles University is preparing an exhibition to mark the 75^th anniversary of 17 November 1939 and the 25^th anniversary of November 1989, and is asking the public for help in gathering photographs and other period documents from these times and which relate to Charles University.

Charles University is seeking, for the purposes of its exhibition, photographs, films and videos created during the events of November in these years, as well as posters, leaflets, student magazines and other authentic documents and items, with the exception of newspapers and other commonly available publications.

Documents will be accepted by the Charles University Archive up to 31 August 2014. The project coordinators and contact people are Mgr. Petr Cajthaml ( , tel. 224 491 481) and Mgr. Jakub Jareš ( , tel. 224 491 483). In the event that anyone wishes to retain their photographs or videos, the Charles University Archive can scan or copy them. Donated documents will be stored in the Charles University Archive, where they will be processed by experts and made available to researchers.

With a view to the possible further use of donated photographs and audiovisual materials protected by copyright, donors will be asked to grant their consent to the use of their materials for scientific, research and exhibition purposes and their possible future publication on a website devoted to both anniversaries.
