4EU+ student mini-grants 2024 ****************************************************************************************** * ****************************************************************************************** Charles University will, for the third time, support up to 10 projects through so-called s grants, seed funding for teams from the 4EU+ universities. This scheme aims to encourage s young researchers from all around the 4EU+ Alliance to collaborate without the limitation faculties, or universities. The projects can focus on initiating international research co organizing joint educational activities (workshops, soft skill courses, etc.) and developi cultural collaboration and strengthening the third role of the university (active involvem discourse and search for solutions to global economic, social and environmental issues). *========================================================================================= * Context *========================================================================================= In the face of ever-evolving global challenges, the 4EU+ Alliance minigrants for students emphasize the critical and urgent themes of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Sustainabilit these pivotal areas, the call encourages applications that explore innovative approaches t sustainable development practices, aiming to address current and future societal needs and However, the scope of the call is not limited to these themes alone. Applications focusing relevant topics are also welcome, inviting a diverse range of ideas and approaches from st academic fields. This inclusive approach underlines the Alliance's commitment to fostering academic inquiry and problem-solving skills among students. Similar to last year's focus on immediate societal challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic a crisis, this year's theme reflects a forward-looking perspective. It underscores the impor equipping students with the tools and knowledge to contribute significantly to critical ar technology and sustainable development in all its complexity. The Alliance continues to pl faith in its students as key drivers of change and innovation in academia and beyond, enco collaborate, share experiences, and build resilient communities ready to face future chall *========================================================================================= * The basic parameters of this call are as follows: *========================================================================================= • Applicant must be a student of Charles University. • Project has to involve at least three 4EU+ member universities (Charles University + Hei Universität, Sorbonne Université, K?benhavns Universitet, Université de Gen?ve, Universi di Milano, Uniwersytet Warszawski, Université Pantheon-Assas) • Supported activities must be in line with the 4EU+ Mission statement • The maximum amount to apply for is CZK 150,000 (approx. EUR 6100) • Funding of the projects will be scheduled for the period of April- November, 2024 *========================================================================================= * How to apply? *========================================================================================= Fill out the form by 29 February 2024. The 4EU+ allowance rates are aligned with the new Erasmus+ ones, as follows: • Day 1 to 14: 79 EUR per day  • Day 15 to 30: 56 EUR per day  • 30 days< 2months: weekly rate of proportional local Erasmus+ rate for the destinatio 2.
