            1.Schedule
              • 1 October 2021 commencement of the academic year and the fall semester of the academic

              • 23 December 2021 – 2 January 2022 Christmas vacations
              • 14 February 2022 commencement of the spring semester of the academic year 2021/2022
              • 1 July 2022 – 31 August 2022 summer vacations

              • 30 September 2022 end of the academic year 2021/2022
            2.Under Article 3 (3) of the Code of Study and Examination of Charles University and upon 
              consultation with the Rector, deans of faculties determine the beginning of a teaching s

              examination session, practical training, registration for subjects and other details by 
              respective Dean´s Directive. In order to preserve for students their possibility of regi
              subjects at various faculties of the University, it is recommended that:

              a.The commencement of the teaching session in the fall semester should be set for 1 Octo
              b.The period for registration for subjects and respective schedule should be set to incl
                between 24 September 2021 and 30 September 2021 in the fall semester; in the spring se

                period should cover the week from 7 February 2022 to 13 February 2022. Registration fo
                students of other faculties must be open during those periods.
              c.The examination session in the fall semester should be set between 10 January 2022 and

                2022; the examination session in the spring semester should be set between 23 May 2022
                2022.
              d.The dean may stipulate by a Dean´s Directive that the examination session would includ

                September 2022.
            3.Vice deans in charge of study, or other officials commissioned thereby, are to notify th
              Affairs Department of the Rectorate of Charles University by 31 March 2021 regarding the

              proposed dates for mass electronic registration of students for subjects and schedules f
              semesters of the academic year 2021/2022. The Student Affairs Department, in cooperation
              Computer Science Centre of Charles University, are to consider the planned dates with re

              any potential collision; should there be any the Student Affairs Department is to discus
              respective faculties suitable solutions. The final list of dates of registration within 
              is to be confirmed by 30 April 2021.

            4.The Rector´s Day is to be held on 11 May 2022.
            5.This Directive comes into effect on 1 March 2021.
