Expertise in theoretical physics of condensed matter with focus on quantum information and/or quantum thermodynamics. Professional practice in the field, with an emphasis on the ability to integrate scientific activities, teaching and supervision of student theses. Permanent publication activity in the field. Teaching is expected to be conducted in both Czech and English.

Candidates who progress to the second round of the selection procedure will be invited to an interview. The interview may be conducted by means of information and communication technology if justified, at the request of the candidate. The Committee may invite selected candidates to give a lecture to the academic community of the Faculty.
