The position is financed by the project New Technologies for Translational Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences /NETPHARM, Project No.: CZ.02.01.01/00/22_008/0004607, within the Operation Programme Johannes Amos Comenius (OP JAK), P 1: Research and Development, SO 1.1: Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and deploying advanced technologies,

Responsibilities:
  • independent performance of the research activities in the relevant field,
  • immediate escalation of any identified risks to a superior position,
  • design, organization of work, planning and execution of experiments for VZ1, publication of scientific results,
  • synthesis and photophysical study of phthalocyanines, BODIPY and related compounds,
  • labelling of oligonucleotide probes with fluorescent or photoactive labels,
  • presentation and publication of the achieved results on an international level,
  • involvement in the preparation of related national and international projects,
  • participation in key project activities with an emphasis on application potential.

The estimated monthly wage: 47 250 CZK (1.0 FTE)

The start of work: 1 October 2026, or can be negotiated

Type of employment contract: for 1 year, with the expectation that the contract will be extended until 29 February 2028.

Employment: part-time (0.2 FTE)

Qualification and Other Requirements:
Profile:
  • An advantage is 1 first-authored publication, a letter of recommendation from 2 experts in the field (at least 1 from a foreign workplace), required education in the relevant field, grant activity, active knowledge of the English language.
  • Scientific and publishing activity in the field of pharmaceutical chemistry with a focus on the photophysical properties of phthalocyanines, subphthalocyanines, BODIPY and related compounds.
  • Experience in measurement of photophysical parameters (absorption, fluorescence spectra, fluorescence quantum yields, fluorescence lifetime),
  • Experience working with oligonucleotides and their labelling.
