            1.Schedule
              • 1 October 2022 commencement of the academic year and the fall semester of the academic
              • 23 December 2022 – 1 January 2023 Christmas vacations

              • 13 February 2023 commencement of the spring semester of the academic year 2022/2023
              • 1 July 2023 – 31 August 2023 summer vacations
              • 30 September 2023 end of the academic year 2022/2023

            2.Under Article 3 (3) of the Code of Study and Examination of Charles University and upon 
              consultation with the Rector, deans of faculties determine the beginning of a teaching s
              examination session, practical training, registration for subjects and other details by 

              respective Dean´s Directive. In order to preserve for students their possibility of regi
              subjects at various faculties of the University, it is recommended that:
              a.The commencement of the teaching session in the fall semester should be set for 3 Octo

              b.The period for registration for subjects and respective schedule should be set to incl
                between 24 September 2022 and 30 September 2022 in the fall semester; in the spring se
                period should cover the week from 6 February 2023 to 12 February 2023. Registration fo

                students of other faculties must be open during those periods.
              c.The examination session in the fall semester should be set between 9 January 2023 and 
                2023; the examination session in the spring semester should be set between 22 May 2023

                2023.
              d.The dean may stipulate by a Dean´s Directive that the examination session would includ
                September 2023.

            3.Vice deans in charge of study, or other officials commissioned thereby, are to notify th
              Affairs Department of the Rectorate of Charles University by 31 March 2022 regarding the
              proposed dates for mass electronic registration of students for subjects and schedules f

              semesters of the academic year 2022/2023. The Student Affairs Department, in cooperation
              Computer Science Centre of Charles University, are to consider the planned dates with re
              any potential collision; should there be any the Student Affairs Department is to discus

              respective faculties suitable solutions. The final list of dates of registration within 
              is to be confirmed by 30 April 2022.
            4.The Rector´s Day is to be held on 10 May 2023.

            5.Rector’s Directive No. 8/2020 and 21/2020 are hereby repealed.
            6.The Directive becomes effective on 1 March 2022.
