Spring 2025 Training Series for Postdoctoral Researchers: 12 Workshops, 105 Participants, and Inspiring Topics ****************************************************************************************** * ****************************************************************************************** 26 May 2025 This year’s spring training series offered a wide variety of topics designed to help postd researchers develop both research-specific and transferable skills, supporting their next Over the course of the spring, we delivered 12 workshops attended by 105 early-career rese including participants from partner universities within the 4EU+ Alliance. The sessions took place both online and in person at Kampus Hybernská, covering topics suc communication, Lean Canvas, and the R programming language. March workshops – including th Open Science and Well-being for Academics – were already featured here on our website. The final three spring events took place in May: Various Career Pathways in Research, Scie Communication, and Citizen Science. The science communication workshop, led by Ing. Bc. Pa Ph.D., introduced participants to the foundations of science communication and ways to pre research through various communication channels. Attendees explored what works (and what d communicating scientific results, and how to explain their research clearly and accessibly also included hands-on activities and practical tips to help increase the visibility and i work. Mgr. Kateřina Cidlinská, Ph.D., guided participants through different career options in an academia. The workshop provided an overview of career opportunities, the value of a doctor real-life examples of postdocs working outside the university sector. Michaela Lebedová focused on the principles of citizen science – approach that actively involves the public. Participants explored different types of citiz initiatives, practical strategies for engaging the public, and successful project examples citizen science can support open research and bring added value to scientific work. The autumn 2025 training series will once again offer a mix of well-received sessions and aligned with the European Research Competence Framework (ResearchComp) and designed to sup across disciplines.
