            The programme offers scholarships for stays in Austria for the preparation of diploma, dis

            habilitation theses, as well as scholarships for participation in German/Czech summer lang
            (so-called Sommerkollegs) in tandem with Austrian students, and scholarships for universit
            research or teaching stays.

            * Student Scholarship Stays in Austria
            ******************************************************************************************

            Students can apply for study stays in Austria ranging from one to five months. The monthly
            amount for Czech students is EUR 1,050, and they are also exempt from tuition fees in Aust


            The scholarships are intended for students in master's and doctoral study programmes for t
            preparing their diploma or dissertation thesis (excluding students in medical fields).

            * Summer Language Schools Held in the Czech Republic

            ******************************************************************************************
            These are three-week language courses in which groups of Czech and Austrian students learn
            the other country in the mornings (taught by Czech and Austrian lecturers). Afternoons and

            lectures by distinguished guests, optional seminars, excursions, film screenings, and disc
            both languages.


            Students at Czech public universities with an intermediate to advanced level of German may
            scholarship. Selected participants are required to pay a participation fee of CZK 3,000.

            * Scholarship Stays for Academic Staff

            ******************************************************************************************
            University lecturers at public higher education institutions in the Czech Republic can est
            cooperation with Austrian colleagues through short-term research stays. These stays may al

            complete a habilitation thesis or to lecture at the host institution.

            Short-term research stays for university lecturers can last from one to three months. One-

            can be applied for repeatedly. Stays aimed at the preparation of habilitation theses for p
            researchers can last up to five months and are available within ten years of the defence o
            dissertation.


            The monthly scholarship amount is EUR 1,150 for academics and EUR 1,200 for postdoctoral r

            * AKTION Czech Republic – Austria Projects and Grant

            ******************************************************************************************
            The programme supports, within the framework of projects, students enrolled in regular stu
            staff (Austria), and academic staff (Czech Republic) of eligible institutions in both coun
