During your stay, you will be officially enro these faculties, depending on your field of study - this will be your host faculty. When choosing your courses, please follow one important rule: you are obliged to take a mi of your subjects from the offer at your host faculty. The rest (max. 49% of subjects) can the other faculties at the Charles University (if they correspond with your study field an available in the course). Each faculty offers a variety of courses and seminars in English, German, French and other languages. Most of the faculties present a lists of courses on their websites - as listed usually remains very similar each year. However, please note that the final timetables wil at latest 14 days before the start of the semester. However, because these classes are no standard curriculum, they are not financed by the Czech Ministry of Education. Some facult charge a fee to cover their costs. For details on different courses, please contact the co coordinators. Please note that you should always preferably enrol into a Czech language course for begin faculty, regardless of the different costs. Exceptions are granted if your host faculty do Czech language course (some smaller faculties don't, in particular during the summer semes for advanced students. Advanced students need to contact the Faculty of Arts if they are s more advanced Czech language curriculum. Students already usually need to apply for a Czech language course at their host faculty i Agreement. ****************************************************************************************** * Erasmus Intensive Czech Language Course ****************************************************************************************** The Erasmus Intensive Czech Language Course (ICLC) is open to students who have been selec Erasmus+ study stay. Although the language of instruction for Erasmus+ students is English and there is no requ Czech for you to take part in the programme, we recognize the importance of giving student to learn the basics of Czech before coming here. Knowing a little bit more about the cultu is always an advantage when moving to a new country! The course starts before the beginning of each semester (end of August or early September semester/ mid-January for the summer semester). Classes are every day from morning to afte 3 weeks. The course is designed to allow students not only to familiarize themselves with but also to learn about Czech culture and customs. Therefore, the programme also includes events. Students can take lessons either online or in person. Please note that participati course requires the student’s attendance at the scheduled course time. The online courses and cannot be watched later. Therefore, the student’s presence at the given time is requir approximately from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.). If the student meets all the study requirements, including a minimum course attendance of the final exam with a minimum score of 60 %, they will be awarded 5 ECTS. The ICLC can be included in the Learning Agreement and will appear on the Transcript of Re is listed in the SIS (Student Information System) under the code VCESERA11. The participation fee is 12,000 CZK (about 500 €). For CU Erasmus+ students the price is r CZK (250 €). To enrol in this course, the student must successfully c requisite course "Erasmus Intensive Czech Language Course".
