Two graduates and one teacher from CU received awards from MEYS


On November 4, Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports Mikuláš Bek presented the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports (MEYS) Awards in the field of higher education, science, and research. Twenty laureates from Czech universities and the Academy of Sciences received awards for their exceptional academic, pedagogical, and scientific achievements and for their lifelong contribution to the development of science in the Czech Republic.



"Among the award winners are individuals who have significantly advanced teaching, research, and collaboration in the academic environment. Their work is an example of what Czech higher education and science have to offer," said Minister of Education Mikuláš Bek.


The Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports Award for outstanding students and graduates of study programs and for extraordinary achievements by students at Charles University was awarded to:

  • M.Sc. Samira Eissazadeh, Ph.D., Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has been awarding the prize in its current form since 2014. The award can be given to a student or graduate of a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral study program for exceptional results in their studies or in scientific, research, development, artistic, or other creative activities related to their studies. The award is also given for exceptional acts demonstrating civic courage, responsibility, or dedication.


The Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports Award for outstanding educational activities at Charles University was awarded to:

The award is given to university employees for outstanding educational activities or significant innovation in educational activities over the past three years. The aim of the award is to highlight the significance and importance of high-quality educational activities at universities, to recognize the outstanding work of university teachers, and to highlight examples of good practice and significant innovation in this area.
