            The team of sinologists at Charles University continues to work in the spirit of the Pragu

            to Jaroslav Průšek. We explore various aspects of linguistic, intellectual and social tran
            China across different periods of time from ancient to present day China. We employ lingui
            and historiographic approaches in creative dialogue, always keeping on mind close reading 

            sources of various types. An important part of our work is critical reflection on the shif
            and creation of new meanings in the process of intercultural exchange between China and th
            intensively since late 19th century.
