            Charles University has achieved another major success in the international rating. The thi
            Best Global Universities Rating listed Charles University departments among the 300 best i
            In three subjects, the university’s departments made it to the Top 100. In general, Charle

            improved its rating compared to the last year, having finished just past the 200th mark, a
            European universities.
            The rating made by U. S. News & World Report listed Charles University among the 100 best 

            in the world in the following subjects: mathematics (56th place), physics (63rd), and plan
            science (95th). Eleven subjects taught at Charles University made it to Top 200 (economics

            environment/ecology, arts and humanities, pharmacology and toxicology, clinical medicine, 
            chemistry, space science, molecular biology and genetics, geosciences, neuroscience and be
            biology and biochemistry), while three subjects finished in Top 300 (social science, publi

            materials science).
            The methodology of the rating emphasized the reputation of research and creative activitie
            publications and their citation rate. This year, the rating assessed almost 1,300 universi

            world; 1,000 universities and colleges out of 65 countries were rated.
