            Professor Škrha focuses mostly on the biochemistry and pathophysiology of diabetes and its
            researcher, he has been in charge of 8 grant projects (IGA, GAČR, GAUK), one of which has 
            He leads a PRVOUK research project at the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University. He 

            a number of chapters in monographs, and more than 300 professional articles in journals. S
            of the board of the Czech Diabetes Society and he is also the vice-chairman of the Czech M
            Purkyně. He has been a member of the boards of foreign associations (European Association 

            and of the Federation of the Danube Symposia. He is the vice-president of the European Uni
