Dear Students, In the last newsletter of the year, we would like to share with you as usual several new events, workshops, and seminars. We are working on improving our services. You can look forward to the launch of the Portal for Student and Employee ID Cards towards the end of this year. You will be able to renew your ISIC/ALIVE licences online associated with your CU student card. In addition, new students will be able to order their new CU student cards or to deactivate or reactivate their CU student cards. Giving Tuesday at CU
2–3/12 The global generosity movement is here, and so is our food collection! Join in and bring durable food and drugstore items for the Food Bank. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Gratis Market at Campus Hybernská.
Festival “Voices of Migration”
4/12 Discover new views and perspectives on migration and break through the stereotypes at Palác Archa! The first year of the Prague festival “Voices of Migration” offers discussions, workshops, performances, etc.
Bride Kidnapping Movie
4/12 Join us for a screening of Bride Kidnapping, followed by an open discussion with students in support of the Orange the World campaign. The event is organised by students of the Film Club FHS and is English-friendly.
International Volunteer Day
5/12 The Volunteer Centre cordially invites everyone to a joint charity event where we will create and write Christmas cards for elderly people living alone. Come and enjoy the atmosphere of Advent and send joy to the world!
Christmas Crafts Making
7/12 Let's enjoy a pleasant afternoon together. Doing crafts together fosters community connections, social bonds and strengthens emotional balance. And of course, you can take everything you create home with you.
Workshop: Wooden Solitaire Game
9/12 Make your own wooden Solitaire game that will not only be entertaining but will also test your logical thinking. Under the guidance of experienced lecturers, you will learn how to work with wood, from processing the material to the final assembly of the game.
Study Smarter
9/12 This workshop focuses on procrastination and tips on how to overcome it. We will introduce useful strategies for remembering new information and also focus on how to succeed in written and oral exams.
Time Management
10/12 A webinar for learning how to manage your time and the principles of effective planning and management. You will get tips on where and how to save time, and you can try out a personal time audit.
HYB4 Music
12/12 Another music event at Campus Hybernská! This time with Filip Tománek, a percussionist from Pardubice, and Marco Fiorini, an Italian guitarist and researcher involved in improvisation and new forms of musical expression.
Counselling in the CU Point also in Ukrainian and Russian
Nataliia Berežko is our new psychologist at the counselling office of CU Point. She offers counselling in Ukrainian and Russian. You can book an appointment in our application.

The Charles University Debate Club has been active for more than 20 years. Our main goal is to develop deliberation and rhetorical skills through competitive debating. The Debate Club meets regularly every Wednesday at 6:30 PM at the Faculty of Arts, room 010. Our meetings feature practice debates (both in Czech and English) and workshops aimed at enhancing essential debating and speaking skills. Besides regular debates, we also organize and take part in several regional and international tournaments. Would you like to improve your rhetorical skills and language proficiency, travel across Europe (to places like Scotland, Denmark, or Croatia), or just meet a friendly group of people?
