Our January newsletter brings you new information from CU Point and the Rectorate. During the ongoing exam period, we want to wish you good luck on your exams, a calm mind, and a steady hand! If you need to change your study environment, consider using the services provided by faculty libraries, with many remaining open until 7 p.m., or visit our Celetná Study Club. Additionally, you can find more tips in the overview of our libraries and study rooms. We trust that you will manage your academic responsibilities smoothly. If you need any assistance or support, feel free to reach out to us at any time. We still offer assistance in connection with the tragic event at the Faculty of Arts as well. Social Dances for Students
22 JAN Explore a practical life skill: social dance class at Campus Hybernská. No partner required; participants rotate. Wear casual and comfortable clothes. Slippery-soled shoes recommended. Classes begin with a brief warm-up. Join us for an enriching experience on the dance floor.
International Gaming Night
25 JAN The event takes place from 7 p.m. to midnight at Campus Hybernská. Get ready for everything from Mortal Kombat to Mario Kart and Metroid. There will be XBOX Ones, PS5s, and Nintendo Switches lined up, and you are welcome to bring your own laptop, too!
HYB4 SWAP and Hadry: Sustainable Fashion Revolution
26-27 JAN A two-day cleansing from fast fashion and consumerism at Campus Hybernska! It’s not only about the big swap, but you may also visit a vintage pop-up, upcycling workshops, discussions, a film, and other inspiring sustainable activities.
Personal Assistance during Studies
Are you a student with special needs? Or do you want to help your schoolmates? Become a part of a student assistance service, which helps students with special needs and facilitates their integration into the academic environment.
Overcrowded NTK? Try our Law Library!
During the exam period, the library at the Faculty of Law is also open on Saturdays. Law students have access via their ISIC card, and students from other faculties can enter the building after ringing the doorbell at the reception area.
Multisport Card
Even in the new year, students have the opportunity to arrange a virtual Multisport card with the possibility of 4 entries per month. You can order it through our website. The current price is CZK 349 per month.
JSTOR Full Access Collection
There are now 27 comprehensive JSTOR collections in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences available for the entire university. Access from the e-resources Portal.

Proofreading Service of English and Czech Texts
PhD students at Charles University have the opportunity to have their academic texts proofread free of charge. They can turn to our Czech experts or, in the case of English texts, an English native speaker.
PhD Mondays
In the centre of Prague at Campus Hybernska (Hybernska 4, Prague 1, Building D - 2nd floor), there is a space for you where you can write, study or meet other colleagues. The rooms are available for doctoral students every Monday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m..
Doctoral Study Hub
DSH is a platform for all postgraduate students that gives you access to courses, seminars, and workshops. The aim of this platform is to help to develop your scientific career and provide information for completing your dissertation.

Psychological Assistance Continues
Psychologists from the Carolina Centre still offer individual consultation. You can sign up using the counselling centre application or via e-mail: psych.pomoc@cuni.cz.
Meeting for Enhanced Resilience
Consider joining a group session to strengthen resilience and process overwhelming moments that may remain stuck in the nervous system. Two online meetings are scheduled for Jan 25 and Feb 12, the in-person meeting for Jan 31.
Crisis and Psychological Support outside CU
You can also seek assistance provided by various professional workplaces outside of Charles University. Feel free to contact them for psychological and legal assistance and support.
