For foreign university and college students, who have decided to study in the Czech Republic in the Erasmus program, Charles University is still the most frequent choice. In the academic year 2013–2014, over 1,300 foreign students uses this program at our university, which makes Charles University the 5th most popular school among several thousands European universities and colleges participating in the program. The Erasmus results were published by the European Commission.
Most students interested in Erasmus at Charles University come from Germany, France, Spain, Poland and Slovakia. The most popular faculties are Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Law, First Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Science. Most students sign up for languages, history, political science and psychology courses.
In the academic year 2013-2014, over 7,500 Czech students used the possibility to study abroad in the Erasmus Program. More than 1,100 Charles University students went mainly to universities in Germany, France, Spain, and the UK.
