Charles University students with special needs can use a range of University services which are designed to help students to overcome any difficulties they may encounter. The provision of support services for students with special needs is governed by the Rector’s Provision No. 9/2013: Charles University standards of support for students with special needs.
Support is provided by a range of organizations and individuals working together to help students overcome obstacles caused by their special needs. In addition to the Carolina Centre (part of the UK Point), each faculty has its own contact person for students with special needs. The University also has specialist units and counselling/advisory centres assisting specific target groups. Students with special needs will also be assisted by the directors of degree programmes, the study departments at individual faculties, and of course individual University staff members who will provide support.
