Organisation of teaching and study (6. 5. 2022)

Charles University (CU) is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and is keeping the academic community continually informed with up-to-date information. CU is following, and will follow, the recommendations of the relevant state bodies and is prepared to react promptly to developments.

With effect from 14 March 2022 the obligation to wear a respirator in the interior of universities, as well as the obligation for employee testing at some healthcare and social providers, has been cancelled (based on MO MZDR 1520/2022-2/MIN/KAN from 9. 2. 2022).

From May 5 2022, the obligation to wear respiratory protection also ends in medical facilities (incl. Pharmacies) and social services facilities.

Students on foreign-language degree programmes

In order to allow all students to start their studies, we have facilitated remote registration through the Study Information System for applicants who have been accepted for study and cannot, for demonstrable, objective reasons, be physically present for registration. Applicants will be informed of this by their faculties.

Charles University shall issue the newly required document “Confirmation by entity from the Czech Republic receiving third-country nationals for the purpose of economic or educational activity”, which has been required of new applicants for study visas as of 13 July 2020, to successful applicants and send it together with other documents so that applicants have them prior to their interview at Czech embassies.
