| ITP is an internationally recognized place of excellence in theoretical gravitational physics. The institute offers a vibrant and supportive environment, together with plentiful opportunities to collaborate with numerous experts in Prague’s relativity community and with a large number of students and postdocs trained at ITP. The position is offered for 2 years with a possible extension for another year subject to funding situation and mutual interest. Applicants may apply for multiple postdoctoral positions simultaneously open at the ITP. The application must be submitted for each position separately. | |
| Qualification and Other Requirements: | We invite applications for a postdoctoral position in theoretical gravitational physics. The successful candidate is expected to primarily work with Doc. David Kubiznak (project supervisor), as well as collaborate with other members of the Gravity Group at the Institute. The research topics may include (but are not limited to) the supervisor’s scientific interests, such as the “black hole chemistry” and its holographic interpretation, quantum information aspects of spacetimes, modified theories of gravity, or purely classical investigations of mathematical properties of black holes and their hidden symmetries. |

The application with required attachments should be sent by e-mail to positions@matfyz.cuni.cz by the deadline. The subject of this e-mail should contain the ID of the position. In justified cases, e.g., if the applicant completes his doctoral studies in the period between the submission of the application and the date of starting the employment relationship, the applicant must provide proof of the completed doctoral studies before signing the employment contract. The applicant must also arrange for two letters of recommendation to be sent as well to positions@matfyz.cuni.cz. The subjects of these e-mails should contain the ID of the position. Candidates who progress to the second round of the selection procedure will be invited for an interview. The interview may be conducted by means of information and communication technology if justified, at the request of the candidate.
