Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in theoretical physics, mathematical physics, or a closely related field, with a solid background in general relativity and modified theories of gravity. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in higher-derivative gravity, exact solutions, and their physical and geometrical interpretation. Familiarity with mathematical techniques in relativity, such as spacetime symmetries and algebraic classification, is highly valued, along with strong analytical skills. Experience with computational tools like xAct/Mathematica, commonly used in theoretical physics, is advantageous but not mandatory.

Candidates who progress to the second round of the selection procedure will be invited for an interview. The interview may be conducted by means of information and communication technology if justified, at the request of the candidate. The Committee may invite selected candidates to give a lecture to the academic community of the Faculty.
