Two postdoctoral positions in Number Theory
Academic position
Workplace:	Faculty of Mathematics and Physics - School of Mathematics - Department of Algebra
Expertise:	number theory, in particular the theory of automorphic forms, L-functions and analytic number theory

The positions will be funded by Dr. Man's project PRIMUS/25/SCI/008 "Automorphic forms for symplectic groups via trace formula" and Dr. Cech's project PRIMUS/25/SCI/017 "Multiple Dirichlet series and analytic number theory". The expected duration of the position is September 1, 2025–August 31, 2028 (negotiable). Strong applicants from all areas of number theory (broadly interpreted) are welcome to apply, although preference may be given to the theory of automorphic forms, L-functions and analytic number theory. Teaching is negotiable. The knowledge of Czech is not required. Informal inquiries concerning the positions are welcome. Qualification and Other Requirements:	Ph.D. title received within the last 8 years by starting date (exceptions are possible in cases of parental leave and long-term sickness), professional experience and publication record in the area, international experience.
Required education:	Ph.D., CSc, Th.D. or comparable education abroad
Required language skills:	English - B2 Independent User
Employment Type and Scope:	Full time employment, 40 hours per week
