Statement of Charles University on the possibility to study of Belarusian citizens

Dear applicants and students,

In the name of Charles University, we would like to express our gratitude to the Government of the Czech Republic for partial reassessment of its approach to applicants and students from the Republic of Belarus. The recent amendment of Regulation No. 200/2022 Sb. (the ban on accepting visa or residence permit applications at the embassies of the Czech Republic for citizens of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus) introduced an exception for accepting applications based on scholarship programmes provided by the Czech Republic, the European Union or international organisations. More information about the options are available at the faculties of Charles University.

We do firmly believe that the incoming students are going to be a valuable and active part of our academic community. We express our full support to them in this challenging situation.
