The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports announced the results of its public competition in research, development and innovation ie. ERC CZ research on Wednesday, 3 July 2024. The competition, which provides robust financial support for promising and innovative projects was held for the eighth time.
For Charles University, this year’s inception proved to be a great success: all four projects put forward by CU researchers received backing.
The projects, researchers, and respective faculties are as follows:
Associate Professor Pavla Brennan Kearns (née Čermáková), Second Faculty of Medicine of Charles University, Mild conduct disorder as a target for cognitive reserve enhancement (Mírná porucha chování jako terč pro posílení kognitivní rezervy)
Professor Lucie Doležalová, Faculty of Arts, Innovation and inertia: The end of medieval scribes (Inovace a setrvačnost: Konec středověkých písařů)
Associate Professor Stanislav Nagy, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Geometric multivariate and non-Euclidean statistics (Geometrická vícerozměrná a ne-euklidovská statistika)
Pavel Veselý, PhD, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Robust stream algorithms versus adaptive adversaries (Robustní proudové algoritmy versus adaptivní protivníci)
