Tereza attended the J. A. Comenius Primary School in Blatná, where her family lives. From the age of fourteen, she studied at the six-year secondary school in Písek, with an extended focus on French language studies. After graduating, she enrolled at the Faculty of Education, Charles University, for a dual major in Czech and French Language. During the winter semester of the 2022/2023 academic year, she spent time in France thanks to the Erasmus programme. Upon her return, she completed her studies and added French Translation complemented by Deaf Communication.
This was a perfect match for her character – intelligent, eager for education, and passionate about helping people…
From a young age, she was exceptionally curious, versatile, and loved books. She attended Art School for many years, where she focused on drumming and visual arts. At the age of 10, she participated in the Lidice Rose art competition, where her drawing received an award out of more than forty thousand other entries. She always managed to win over those around her with her spontaneity, straightforwardness, and optimism. She could engage in conversation with anyone and had something to say to everyone.
Even during her school years, she was able to bring people together, stand up for those unable to defend themselves. For us, as her parents, it was an honour to hear that in the class where Tereza was, everyone would find support.
She loved her family. Her older brother Ondra was always a role model for her, a reliable friend during her teenage years, and a wonderful father to little Dominik – thanks to him, she was a proud aunt. She was understanding towards her grandparents, loved to visit them, and helped them whenever needed. Her words to us, her parents, “I’m so glad I have you!” was always uplifting.
She loved travelling, especially travelling with her parents. It was no problem for her to pick us up at the airport and become our guide in France. Nothing ever flustered her; everything had a solution. She was able to bring joy and comfort to everyone around her.
Her eternal optimism, joy of life, and constant smile will be missed by us all. But this is how we remember her.
