Praha 15. 11. 2023 – Pro Univerzitu Karlovu jde o další velký úspěch v oblasti vědy. Prorektor pro vědeckou a tvůrčí činnost profesor Ladislav Krištoufek byl dle žebříčku vysoce citovaných vědců (Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers) v kategorii Economics and Business označen jako jeden z pouhých 86 vysoce citovaných ekonomů na světě.
Profesor Ladislav Krištoufek obhájil toto významné vědecké ohodnocení již podruhé. To, že patří mezi špičky ve svém oboru, vyplývá také z faktu, že jde o jediného takto úspěšného ekonoma ve střední a východní Evropě. Vysoce citované vědce v oblasti ekonomie a byznysu dle společnosti Clarivate, která je známá primárně za databázi Web of Science, ale nemají např. ani v Rakousku, Belgii, Španělsku či Portugalsku. Německo má v žebříčku pouze dva takové ekonomy, Francie pak jednoho.
„Je to pro mě velká pocta. Vážím si umístění v žebříčku o to víc, že celkový počet nejvíce citovaných vědců v České republice letos v hodnocení klesl na sedm, ve společenskovědním výzkumu zůstávám jediný,“ uvedl Ladislav Krištoufek, který se odborně zabývá oblastí kryptoaktiv a kryptoměn, dále pak širokou paletou primárně finančních a energetických témat.

Co znamená být „nejčastěji citovaným vědcem“? Společnost Clarivate sleduje vědce a vědkyně s vyšším počtem vysoce citovaných publikací v databázi Web of Science. Vysoce citovaným výstupem je ten, který má počet citací na úrovni 99. percentilu v daném oboru, a patří tedy mezi 1 % nejvíce citovaných v daném oboru, se srovnatelným stářím výstupu. Do pořadí pak vstupují publikace za posledních 10 let. |

Prague, 15 November 2023 - This is another great success for Charles University in the field of science. The Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Ladislav Krištoufek, was named one of only 86 highly cited economists in the world in the Economics and Business category of the Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers.
This is the second time that Professor Ladislav Krištoufek has defended this important scientific award. The fact that he is one of the leaders in his field also stems from the fact that he is the only such successful economist in Central and Eastern Europe. According to Clarivate, which is primarily known for its Web of Science database, there are no highly cited scientists in the field of economics and business in Austria, Belgium, Spain or Portugal, for example. Germany has only two such economists in the ranking, and France has one.
"This is a great honour for me. I appreciate the ranking all the more because the total number of the most cited scientists in the Czech Republic has dropped to seven this year, and I remain the only one in social science research," said Ladislav Krištoufek, who specializes in the field of cryptoassets and cryptocurrencies, as well as a wide range of primarily financial and energy topics.

Clarivate tracks scientists with the highest number of highly cited publications in the Web of Science database. A highly cited output is one that has a citation count at the 99th percentile in its field, and is therefore among the top 1% most cited in its field, with a comparable age of output. Publications in the last 10 years are then included in the ranking. |
