PhDr. Kateřina Šámalová, Ph.D.
Kateřina Šámalová (born 1980) is a graduate of the master’s programme in Social Work and the doctor’s programme in Sociology. She also works as an assistant professor at the Charles University Faculty of Arts. Her long-term professional interest is in study support for vulnerable student groups, as well as the creation of systematic social support measures in both the Czech Republic and abroad.


Her personal motto is:

“…the well-being of our students and academic and other staff is a fundamental prerequisite for the success of their studies and work. The prestige of Charles University must therefore be demonstrated not only through high-quality degree programmes, but also by a safe, friendly organizational culture and access to support in any difficult situations that students or academic staff may find themselves in…”
