Anotace v anglickém jazyce: Climate activism in the years after the failed 2009 Copenhagen climate summit was marked by a rejection of state-oriented activism. Instead of demanding change, activists increasingly prioritized do-it-yourself modes of action, including direct action against the fossil fuel industry, and lifestyle politics to take responsibility in everyday life. Yet over the past year, Fridays for Future and Extinction Rebellion have put the state center stage again. This lecture asks how we can make sense of these trends and why they matter.
