effective from 1 September 2021
The prize is awarded to students for an act or activity performed during their studies and demonstrating exceptional civic bravery or dedication; for achieving exceptional results in the course of their studies in the field of science and research; or for exceptionally high distinction in the pursuit of cultural or artistic activities or for outstanding sporting results in international competitions.
Proposals for the award are sent by the Deans to the Office of the Dean of Students and Student Affairs in electronic form no later than 31 October. The Rector may also submit a proposal.
The award, which consists of a diploma and a financial amount, is presented at a ceremonial act, e.g. at a meeting of the Scientific Council of Charles University, see Rector's Directive No. 25/2021. The financial amount is set at a minimum of CZK 20,000.
