effective from 1 September 2021
The award is given to outstanding students of a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme at the end of their studies, who have achieved exceptional results in scientific, research, sporting or cultural activities during their studies.
The prize may be awarded to one graduating student each year in:
medical programmes - Prof. MUDr. Karel Weigner Award
social science programmes - Prof. JUDr. Karel Engliš Award
natural science programmes - Prof. Jaroslav Heyrovský Award
theological programmes - Josef Dobrovský Prize
Teacher programmes - Prof. PhDr. Václav Příhoda Award
The award, which consists of a diploma and a financial amount, is presented at a ceremonial act, e.g. at a meeting of the Scientific Council of Charles University, see Rector's Directive No. 25/2021.
The award is set for a graduate of a bachelor's degree programme at a minimum of CZK 20,000 and for a graduate of a master's degree programme at a minimum of CZK 40,000.
