With 17 faculties across three cities and more than 600 accredited study programmes, over 52,000 students study here. We also focus on lifelong learning.

We provide a comprehensive system for research support and assistance with preparing international grant applications, unmatched within the Czech higher‑education environment. Research projects and activities form one-third of the university’s income. We offer full support from identifying suitable grants to preparing applications, including consulting services.

5 weeks of vacation (8 weeks for academic staff), 5 days of personal leave, meal allowance, social fund contributions, recreation facilities, and discounts for travel, culture, and sports. Our CU Point offers information, social and psychological counselling, seminars, and events for all employees.

We welcome employees from abroad. The Staff Welcome Centre provides support during relocation to the Czech Republic as well as throughout their stay. We help new staff members settle in and integrate both into the University environment and everyday life in the Czech Republic.
