Financial Support at CU

Charles University offers the possibility of financial support, primarily intended for mobility purposes.

The available funds and scholarships vary depending on the type of stay and the applicant's profile. The International Relations Office of Charles University directly administers some of them, while others are only mediated by the office.

Financial Support for Mobility

Funding for Erasmus+ Mobility

To cover costs associated with studying abroad, students use funding from university or external sources. For mobility to Erasmus+ programme countries or within the 4EU+ university alliance, we recommend using funding provided by these networks.

University Support

For stays outside Erasmus+ programme countries, students may apply for a contribution from the Mobility Fund. This enables full-time students and academic staff to receive financial support for mobility worldwide.

International Scholarship Programmes

A separate category consists of international scholarship programmes, through which students may attend summer or winter schools, language courses, or research stays. Some also fund longer-term mobility.

Foundations and Grant Agencies

If your awarded scholarship does not cover all costs and your family situation does not allow you to finance the stay yourself, you may apply for support from a foundation or a grant agency.

JUNIOR Fund

The fund is intended to support stays of international researchers at Charles University for a maximum period of two years.
