Previous mentoring experience: |
I have over the past decade mentored in an unofficial capacity students of all three levels (BA, MA and PhD) of the Czech Institute of Egyptology. This includes: - Open door policy for all students - Extra hours for students with learning issues, especially for language courses such as Middle Egyptian and Late Egyptian - Assistance of students with personal issues - Inclusion of the PhD students in GA ČR project - Reviewing and commenting upon articles written by MA and PhD students prior to publication - Reviewing and commenting upon conference lectures and presentations at international symposia of PhD students - Reviewing and commenting upon grant projects of PhD students prior to submission (e.g. GAUK, Robert Anderson Research Charitable Trust) |
Motivation: |
My experiences, be it in an unofficial capacity, of mentoring and guiding students over the past decade have shown me the impact this can have on individual students in their own studies, research and life. |
