Motivation: 

Given that I come from Switzerland, I also worked in Germany, and I spend the longest period of my scientific career at the Faculty of Arts at CUNI, I may have an interesting combination of experiences for someone (for some types of scientific careers). I also have three children, so I also know a lot about family and career problems, although of course from a man's perspective.
