Cards for Disabled Students

• Disabled students can collect their card in person at CU Point - the CU’s center for information, counselling, and social services, where a photograph will be taken on the spot and where they will receive their card immediately.

Designated for:

Disabled students (holders of ZTP and ZTP/P cards)


The entire period of continuous study at Charles University, but no more than nine years from the first day of the calendar year following the year of issue of the card. Switching to a different study program (even if the new program is part of another faculty) does not affect the validity of the card.

Card Types:

- CU student card

- CU student card with the ISIC license (International Student Identity Card)

- CU student card with the ALIVE license

Each student can have only one student card.

Free of charge - CU student card with the ISIC license

Free of charge - CU student card with the ALIVE license

Renewal of the ISIC/ALIVE license (indicated by a holographic sticker on the card) is subject to a fee in the same amount.

Or as agreed with the relevant faculty of department. If necessary, cards can be issued at a mobile card service center for a specified period.

Replacement Cards:

CU student card - 200 CZK

CU student card with the ISIC/ALIVE license - 430 CZK

This fee does not apply to replacement due to a change in personal information or a malfunction of the technical features of the card not caused by the holder.

Validity of Previously Issued Cards:

All previously issued CU cards used as ID cards expire on 31 December 2003. Exceptions may be made via a directive of a faculty dean or a department director for very specific use in cases in which the cards are needed to ensure operation and in which cooperation with the CU Computer Science Center does not result in another feasible solution.

The use of ID cards at CU is governed by Rector's Directive No.44/2020
