For the fourth time, Charles University will offer support for up to 10 projects through student mini-grants, providing seed funding for teams from the 4EU+ universities. This initiative aims to foster collaboration among students and young researchers across the 4EU+ Alliance, regardless of their fields, faculties, or institutions. The projects can focus on initiating international research partnerships, organizing joint educational activities (such as workshops and soft skill courses), and promoting socio-cultural collaboration, as well as strengthening the university's third mission of actively engaging in social discourse and seeking solutions to global economic, social, and environmental challenges.
This year's 4EU+ Alliance student mini-grants focus on two critical and urgent themes of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Well-being. The call encourages students to explore AI-driven solutions for societal challenges, particularly in areas of healthcare and technology. Additionally, applications related to Well-being, aiming to address current and future health challenges, are also encouraged.
However, the scope of the call is not limited to these themes alone. Students from all academic fields are welcome to submit applications on a variety of relevant topics, promoting a diverse range of ideas and approaches. This inclusive approach underlines the Alliance's commitment to fostering broad-ranging academic inquiry and problem-solving skills among students.
Building on last year's focus on AI and sustainability, this year's theme shifts to AI and well-being, highlighting the importance of equipping students with the tools and knowledge to address critical issues in these areas. The Alliance continues to view students as key drivers of change and innovation in academia and beyond, encouraging them to collaborate, share experiences, and build resilient communities. By focusing on AI and well-being, the Alliance aims to empower students to contribute meaningfully to shaping a healthier and more sustainable future.
