1. Is it true that Daniel Barták, former security director of the Prague Transport Company, was selected for this position?

Yes, it is true that Mr Daniel Barták won the competition for the position of Head of the Security Department of the UK.

2. When should he take up the post?

According to the agreement with Mr. Barták, he should start on 1 August 2025.

3. Can you indicate what will be his main task in this position?

His main objective will be to complete the tasks arising from the Security Development Plan for 2024 and 2025, which Charles University adopted in January 2024, and to prepare the Operations Centre, which will assist the faculties in dealing with sudden crisis situations and will significantly strengthen the security solutions at Charles University.
