Blended Intensive Programme “Climate Change Adaptation, Nature Based Solutions and Local Development Trends”

Course description

Students and academic staff will engage in transnational and interdisciplinary learning experiences focused on Nature-based Solutions (NbS), climate change and territorial opportunities, addressing key European challenges related to sustainability, climate change, and territorial transformation, with a focus on mountain areas. 


The BIP is jointly developed by the University of Milan, Charles University, and Heidelberg University. Students from these three 4EU+ Universities can apply and participate in the programme.


Activities are structured around a virtual component, including online lectures, international group work, seminars, and theoretical preparation, and a 5-day intensive physical mobility period, during which participants engage in workshops, hands-on activities, collaborative work, case studies, and site visits. 

 

Virtual classes: 7 classes between 25 March 2026 and 9 June 2026

On-site activities: 11 May 2026 – 15 May 2026 at UNIMONT in Edolo (BS, Italy) and the surrounding area. 

Language of instruction: English.

Target group: Bachelor’s and Master’s students. 

ECTS: 3
