This Directive is to implement section 8 (1) c) and d) of Act N. 67/2022 Sb., governing measures in the field of education in connection with the armed conflict on the territory of Ukraine caused by the invasion of the Russian Federation troops, for the purposes of admission to study at Charles University.
This Directive applies to foreigners who have been granted temporary protection in the Czech Republic under Act No. 65/2022 Sb., on certain measures in connection with the armed conflict on the territory of Ukraine caused by the invasion of the Russian Federation troops, in connection with the Council Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/382 of 4 March 2022 establishing the existence of a mass influx of displaced persons from Ukraine within the meaning of Article 5 of Directive 2001/55/EC, and having the effect of introducing temporary protection (“Foreigner”).
An applicant is to prove the status of a Foreigner to the Faculty as follows:
a. |
by a simple copy of the relevant document containing the date of making the copy and an authentic applicant´s signature which need not be officially authenticated; or |
b. |
by submitting the relevant document of which the Faculty is to make a simple copy, attach the date of making thereof and the signature of a respective officer. |
An applicant for study who qualifies as Foreigner is to be relieved from fees as follows:
a. |
The fee for acts relating to admissions procedure under section 58 (1) of the Higher Education Act and Article 1 (1) of Appendix N. 2 to the Constitution of Charles University; |
b. |
The fee for acts related to the review of compliance with a requirement for admission to study under section 48 (7) of the Higher Education Act and Article 2 of Appendix N. 2 to the Constitution of Charles University. |
The relief from fees under Article 3 is applicable to all procedures aimed at admission to study, which commenced upon the filing of an application for study during the period of effect of the Directive herein.
Provisions of Article 3 apply to pending procedures aimed at admission to study commenced upon filing an application for study before the effect of the Directive herein unless a respective fee was paid before the date of effect of the Directive.
This Directive becomes effective on 25 April 2022.
This Directive ceases to be valid as of 1 April 2023.
