Charleston Programme Call 2026 Results

6 October 2026

We are delighted to announce that the evaluation phase of the CHARLESTON programme (MSCA COFUND) has been successfully completed.

The programme received 96 proposals in the second call. Following this evaluation process, Charles University, in partnership with the European Commission, will co-fund 12 postdoctoral projects.

These projects contribute to 15 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are one of the key pillars of the programme. Together with the projects funded through the first call, the projects supported through both calls contribute to all 17 SDGs, reflecting the broad and global impact of the research supported by CHARLESTON.

The selected projects span a broad and diverse range of scientific fields, bringing together research across the natural sciences, health and environmental research, as well as the social sciences and humanities. Each project addresses pressing global challenges and exemplifies innovative, high-quality research.
