Previous mentoring experience: 

I have over the past decade mentored in an unofficial capacity students of all three levels (BA, MA and PhD) of the Czech Institute of Egyptology. This includes:

- Open door policy for all students

- Extra hours for students with learning issues, especially for language courses such as Middle Egyptian and Late Egyptian

- Assistance of students with personal issues

- Inclusion of the PhD students in GA ČR project

- Reviewing and commenting upon articles written by MA and PhD students prior to publication

- Reviewing and commenting upon conference lectures and presentations at international symposia of PhD students

- Reviewing and commenting upon grant projects of PhD students prior to submission (e.g. GAUK, Robert Anderson Research Charitable Trust)


Motivation: 

My experiences, be it in an unofficial capacity, of mentoring and guiding students over the past decade have shown me the impact this can have on individual students in their own studies, research and life.
