Assistant professor at Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology, Faculty of Science, Charles University
Expertise and focus: |
My research interests are in reconstructing the dynamics of past glaciers and ice sheets through the tools of glacial geomorphology and Quaternary geology. In particular, I am interested in the deglaciation dynamics of the North American Ice Sheet Complex and the linkages to global climate during the Late Glacial. I use both remote sensing and field based methods. Geographically, my research focuses on North America but I have also published studies from Europe, Siberia and Antarctica. |

Previous mentoring experience: |
I benefitted from this kind of mentoring programme at Durham University, UK, during my postdoctoral stay there. I have also been involved in mentoring of junior researchers within the European Geoscience Union. |
Motivation: |
I benefitted from this myself and think that I have substantial experience with different academic environments (PhD in Sweden, postdocs in Sweden, UK, and Canada; in total 10 years outside of Czechia) on which to base my mentoring. |
