Charles University has officially launched the first call for applicants within the CHARLESTON programme, co-funded by the European Comission’s MSCA COFUND initiative (Horizon Europe). This programme will support 10 early-career researchers in the first call, offering them a 24-month postdoctoral fellowship at Charles University and a 3 to 6-month secondment in a non-academic institution.

The programme focuses on three key pillars:

• Sustainable development and societal impact in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

• Intersectoral collaboration strengthened by secondments in non-academic institutions.

• Career development with specialized training and mentoring for postdoctoral researchers.

Postdoctoral researchers can submit their project proposals until 31 May 2025, 14:00 (Prague time). Applications must be submitted via the IS Věda portal.
