The Security and Occupational Safety Department provides support and methodological guidance to faculties and other units of the Charles University in implementing the Security Plan and in developing their own plans for crisis situations. It cooperates closely with the Security Coordinators at individual faculties and units of the University.

In addition, it is responsible for a number of other areas of security:

• Supporting faculties and units of the University in crisis management

• Training in the areas of soft target protection, classified information and disinformation

• Institutional resistance to illegitimate influence (counter-influence)

• Methodological guidance in the field of occupational safety and fire protection

• Training of drivers and personnel with specific equipment
