Financial Support for International Credit Mobility
If you are a staff member from a partner university with which Charles University has an approved cooperation project under the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) programme and you have been nominated by your home university to come to Charles University, you will receive an Erasmus+ grant after your arrival to support your stay here. The grant is paid in cash in euros and calculated according to the rates listed below.
In addition to the mobility period, individual support may be provided for eligible travel days: two travel days for standard travel and up to six travel days when using low-emission means of transport.

**Green Travel
There are different rules regarding green travel depending on the specific call of the International Credit Mobility. Below, you can find detailed information. However, there is no need to worry—once you make a binding choice of your means of transport by completing the Microsoft Word questionnaire sent to you by email, the university ICM coordinator will contact you with further instructions.

The following are considered environmentally friendly means of transport: train, bus, bicycle, shared car travel, or carpooling.

For travel by shared car, you must submit:

The original statutory declaration signed by everyone who travelled in the vehicle. A template is available for download here: Statutory Declaration for Carpooling.

Proof that the trip actually took place (fuel receipt, motorway tolls, etc.).

Important: It is not considered carpooling if someone drives you abroad and then returns home without you. Carpooling is only eligible when everyone travelling in the car intends to stay at the destination. For example, you may travel together with other students who are taking part in an Erasmus+ mobility at the same university.

The Green Erasmus grant is valid only in cases where the environmentally friendly mode of transport is chosen in both directions – when traveling to an Erasmus+ destination and back..

Participants travelling a distance of less than 500 km should generally use low-emission transport, such as a train, bus or shared car.

You must make a binding choice of your means of transport when completing the questionnaire in Microsoft Word sent to you by e-mail. The amount of your grant will be calculated on the basis of the option you select.

The following are considered environmentally friendly means of transport: train, bus, bicycle, boat, provided that boat travel is combined with another low-emission means of transport, shared car travel, or carpooling.

Additional Grant for Staff Members with Special Needs or Fewer Opportunities
One of the programme’s main priorities is to provide individual support and respect the specific needs of every applicant, including staff members facing health-related, physical, mental health or socioeconomic disadvantages. The most important thing is your motivation and determination to go abroad!
