Volunteers & Students
The next lesson of the Running School takes place in April. Enjoy a run in Stromovka in the fresh air. At the end of each lap, your running form will be corrected. An experienced instructor will advise you on technique. The lesson is intended for both beginners and advanced runners.

Citizen science is an innovative approach to research that actively involves the public. This course introduces its core principles, types of projects, and practical strategies for public engagement. Participants will reflect on how citizen science tools can be applied in their own projects and gain inspiration from successful examples showing how citizen science can support open research. We are pleased to invite you to our Virtual Open Door Days at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. This online event is a great opportunity to learn more about study programmes, meet our teachers and current students, and explore what studying at CU Sport can offer you.

Ph.D. CANDIDATES
Successful doctoral study requires not only doing research, but also knowing how to find relevant literature, track citation impact, and choose suitable journals for publication. This seminar will introduce practical tools and strategies to help you do exactly that.

STUDENTS + PhD CANDIDATES
Discover Prague through locations from films like Mission Impossible, James Bond, and Amadeus. You’ll see spots where the city appeared on screen — sometimes as itself, sometimes as other European cities. It will be a great way to explore Prague uniquely in the outdoor-friendly season of the year.

Everything you want to know about studying and researching in the U.S. under the Fulbright program can be found at our webinars. Participants will also be
alumni and current scholars, whom you can ask about the experience of the stay, the admissions process. The webinars will take the form of an online zoom meeting. To apply, you need to send a registration form, which can be found on our website and here.

The much-anticipated Rector’s Sports Day is fast approaching once again this year. Check out the event website, choose the sport that’s just right for you, and sign up. We’ll be competing in Prague, Plzeň, and Hradec Králové.

The workshop will focus on transforming ideas for a research project into convincing, ambitious yet feasible grant proposals. Working with their own real-life research projects, participants will engage in practical exercises in small breakout groups and get feedback and insight from successful grant applicants, along with experts from grant offices and funding agencies, equipping them with the skills needed to craft compelling grant proposals across various settings and formats. The workshop provides an overview to help participants make informed decisions about career paths after a PhD. It presents options in both academic and non-academic sectors across SSH and STEM fields, including their pros and cons. Participants will also reflect on their own professional priorities. The program combines short lectures on research about PhD career paths with group and individual activities focused on planning future careers. More Information here.

Učím se česky. If you are a Ph.D. student who has finished the first two courses Survival Czech, or you already have basic knowledge of the Czech language wanting to develop, join our second following up webinar. This course will focus on making plans, health, or transportation.
