The workshop will focus on the possibilities of designing AI agents across scientific disciplines and the current possibilities available for researchers and researchers at Charles University. The workshop also includes discussions, mutual deepening of knowledge of the use of AI agents and sharing experiences. The workshop is in English. More information here.

Welcome Day will take place on Thursday, 1 October from 16:00 at Kampus Hybernská. Visitors can look forward to concerts, refreshments, drinks and other accompanying activities. The event is primarily intended for new students, but it is open to everyone who wants to start the new semester together.

Anyone interested in singing in a choir or playing in an orchestra is welcome to attend the informal auditions for new members, which will take place on 23 September, 4 October and 7 October.

The first part of this two-day introductory course provides practical foundations in Python programming and is designed for beginners and researchers who want to start using Python for data analysis and scientific tasks. The course is hands-on and practice-oriented. The course will be taught in English. More information is available here.

A practical course guiding PhDs and researchers in bringing science to market: from validating idea potential and protecting IP to crafting a pitch and launching a startup or spin-off.

The course is designed for participants who already have a basic knowledge of Python and want to apply their skills to real-world data. It will focus on practical data analysis and visualization in Python using the Pandas and Matplotlib libraries. The course is preceded by the two-day workshop Introduction to Python for Researchers I and II. The course will be taught in English. More information is available here.

This intensive introductory course focuses on the principles and strategies of high-performance computing, demonstrated on the Chimera computing cluster. You will learn how to design parallel jobs, submit them, and monitor their progress using the SLURM scheduler. The course covers the fundamentals of the OpenMP and MPI parallel programming paradigms, as well as basic GPU usage. Most examples will be in Python. The course will be taught in English.
