DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst – German Academic Exchange Service) is an association of German universities that offers various forms of support to academics and students at all levels of study.
DAAD provides a wide range of scholarship programs for individuals. Support is available at any academic stage—from summer courses for university students starting from their second year, to master’s degree scholarships, research grants for PhD candidates, and research stays for university lecturers and scientists.
DAAD supports all academic disciplines, and scholarships—except for summer courses—can also be used for stays in Germany conducted in English.
The DAAD Information Point in Prague offers guidance to anyone interested in studying or conducting research in Germany, including practical advice on living in Germany, finding accommodation, and obtaining language certificates for academic purposes.
More information about funding conditions and a complete list of scholarships available to Czech applicants can be found in the DAAD scholarship database.
