This session offers a practical overview of generative AI tools available at Charles University and how to use them responsibly in academic writing. We’ll navigate the complex landscape of journal policies—from total bans to mandatory disclosures—and clarify the latest Charles University guidelines for thesis writing.
Doctoral students rarely have time to spare and need to be efficient. They may spend hours working on a text and still feel that it is not quite what they want. That is why we will focus not only on the ethical and legislative framework, but also demonstrate specific techniques that will help you write more efficiently.
It is important to mention that, given the interdisciplinary nature of the lecture, it is not possible to go beyond the scope of text creation and focus on research that is highly discipline-specific.
