Previous mentoring experience: 

Supervisor of 25 PhD students, 18 postdocs and numerous exchange students on short stays, including Marie Curie fellows, Humboldt and Fullbright fellows and Erasmus exchange students.

Motivation: 

I wish I would have such opportunity myself. The benefits of such exchange often show off first after some time, but its value is priceless. Several of my PhD students participated in mentoring schemes in Germany and were extremely enthusiastic about it.
